Queering the Crip, Cripping the queer
Date
2022 - 2023
Location
Berlin
Queering the Crip, Cripping the Queer was the first international exhibition to explore the intersections of queerness and disability across history, culture, and politics. Featuring works by over 20 contemporary artists alongside archival materials and key figures such as Lorenza Böttner, Raimund Hoghe, and Audre Lorde, the exhibition brought visibility to underrepresented voices. Presented in partnership with a performance festival at Sophiensaele, the project showcased artists across both platforms, bridging visual and performing arts in a landmark moment for queer/disabled expression in Germany.
